IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is a functional bowel disorder characterized by chronic abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating, and alteration of bowel habits in the absence of any detectable organic cause.*
Beat IBS is a free global support network for IBS sufferers providing:
› an online resource for information and advice,
› social networking for support,
› forums for discussion and sharing
IBS can be a very difficult condition to deal with, often leaving sufferers feeling alone and worried. Beat IBS hopes to reverse this trend providing a free and friendly community to help you begin to fight back.
The Beat IBS network was first set up by IBS sufferer Phil Howell in 2009, however unfortunately following the removal of the free Ning.com online community service, Beat IBS was taken offline.
Now after 12 months a new website has been created with new and improved features.
